Information technology (IT) ek term hae jisme sab rakam ke technology hae jisse jaankari ke banaawa, badla aur kaam me laawa jaae hae. Jaankari koi rakam ke rahe sake hae, jaise ki business ke data, awaaj, chhaapa, video.[1]

Information technology me jaankari ke flow ke sab kadam rahe hae; jaankari batornaa, badalnaa, store karnaa, khojnaa, bhejnaa aur leenaa. Ajj-kal hamlog ek "Information society" me rahtaa hae jisme information technology jaruri industry hae.

Information Technology ke baare me sab se pahile Massachusetts Institute of Technology aur Harvard University me baat karaa gais rahaa jab uu logan computer circuit aur numerical calculation ke discussion howat rahaa. Iske baad information technology aur compex hoe gais aur dher data ke process kare sakat rahin. Dher organisation ispe paper likhe rahin.[2]
